Saline<\/strong>. Heparin-free isotonic saline is needed to check catheter patency, to take blood samples, and to replace fluids. Pharmaceutical grade saline bags are readily available; however, maintaining the sterility of the saline in the bag over time and filling syringes under strict aseptic conditions can be a challenge, in many laboratories. Instech offers these high-quality BD\u00ae syringes, which are pre-filled with 0.9 percent NaCl sterile grade USP (normal saline) according to the USP standard <797> for compounding sterile preparations.<\/p>\n

Heparinized-Saline and Heparin-Dextrose.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Instech manufactures these sterile solutions with pharmaceutical-grade sodium heparin and following the USP standard for compounding sterile pharmaceutical preparations and prepares high-quality HSW NORM-JECT\u00ae pre-filled syringes using an aseptic technique. The plunger of these two-piece syringes pushes out the entire volume, leaving no dead space for air bubbles or wasted solution. <\/p>\n

If using Instech Vascular Access Buttons\u2122 or PinPorts\u2122, it is recommended to opt for needleless syringes with PNP3M injectors already installed. The syringes are sealed to keep the contents sterile and are supplied in quantities of 50 (10 packs of 5). <\/p>\n
