Exploring the Frontiers of Laboratory Animal Surgery: EALAS Congress in Rome

It is with great excitement that we inform you of 2B’s participation in the prestigious EALAS congress, the first one organized by the European Academy of Laboratory Animal Surgery (EALAS), which will take place in Rome, Italy, November 22-24, 2023. This internationally resonant event aims to promote best practices in laboratory animal surgery through knowledge sharing and in-depth discussion of crucial topics.

Hands-on wet and dry workshops will be held on Nov. 22, offering a unique opportunity for learning and practice. The actual congress will begin on the morning of Nov. 23 and conclude with lunch on Nov. 24. The conference venue is located in an exceptional location near the center of Rome, adding a touch of charm to this extraordinary event.

Topics covered during the congress will cover a wide range of topics, including wellness and the 3Rs in surgery, general surgery, cardiovascular and respiratory surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, neurological surgery, orthopedic surgery, medical device implantation (catheters, telemetry devices), wound healing, transplantation, improving anesthesia and analgesia, and improving perioperative care.
