The DAS-8027 is a handheld device with which XPT, IPT and IPTT series transponders can be read and programmed. The reader has an illuminated display showing data and various menu options. The user menu includes functions such as time stamping for data tracking, ID storage, ID mapping for cross-reference, system settings, and current battery level. The reader control panel visually indicates that the reader is in scanning or programming mode. Rechargeable lithium batteries are user-replaceable.
