This digital caliper can be connected directly to a computer as well as to the DAS-8001 reading system, thus allowing the user to match animal identification data to corresponding caliper measurements. The DCS-1 caliper is equipped with a “constant force mechanism,” which ensures that all objects are measured with identical pressure. In this way, the gauge measurements become completely independent of the operator.
