Description
The automatic motorized stereotactic is the top of the line in the RWD series: thanks to automatic positioning via 3D atlases installed on the supplied computer, every requirement for speed and accuracy is amply met: the resolution is as low as 0.001mm (1μm).
Eventually, the instrument can be customized with a great number of optional extras, holders and adapters-we are available for any further discussion.
The following are the main features:
- the system is equipped with 3 stepper motors equipped with encoders: the positioning resolution is 0.001mm (1μm)
- The anti-backlash function can compensate for backlash between mechanical parts for even greater positioning accuracy
- movement of the axes can be done in several ways: with the micro-manipulator provided, via the software, or via the computer keyboard
- the speed of the movements is adjustable
- anti-collision function helps avoid collateral damage and accidents
- the rat and mouse atlases are already installed on the laptop computer that comes with it
- in case it becomes necessary, an atlas calibration function is also provided
- the software provides specially created and customizable procedures (Skull Window, Tissue Removal, Automated Injection) and gives the possibility to create others as desired: in this way errors due to manual handling are minimized
- different sets of coordinates can be saved to create automated work programs
- High-quality mechanical components allow for great precision and stability even over an extended temperature range
- Ability to mount various instruments (syringes, electrodes, drills, etc.) using special holders
