Tail Vein Cannulas for Mice

These cannulas from Instech are manufactured specifically for mouse tail vein: they feature a sharp 29ga (0.3 mm OD) stainless steel needle with an extension tube segment. They are inserted directly into the tail vein of an immobilized mouse for manual sampling or dosing. Since this is a pointed needle, it is not designed to be left in place for an extended period of time. Access to the cannula can be through a PinPort™ for a closed low dead volume system, or with a standard open female luer and cap. Needle protection is included in both cases.
