Campden 5100mz vibratome

The new 5100mz shares the user interface with the premium model 7000smz-2, with a wide range of adjustable parameters:

  • Vibration frequency from 50 to 80 Hz
  • Adjustable width from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm
  • Fine control of blade feed (min. 0.1 mm/sec)
  • Setting the start and end position of blade travel
  • Cable-connected control box, ideal for operation in isolated environments

Use in fully manual or semi-automatic “Slice window” mode that automatically stores the initial and final position of the slice. This new entry-level microtome is perfect for techniques such as histology, organotypic slice culture, and low-resolution imaging, with a fixed blade holder and a Z-axis error of ≈5-8µm.

  • 7550-1-C – Ceramic Blades – 5 pack: Ceramic blades specifically for Campden vibratomes. These blades are sharpened with a single bevel for superior slicing.

  • 7000-3-1A – Bath Mount for Vibrating Microtomes: Newly developed bath mount. The outer edge of the tub is now rolled up. It prevents the vibration of the tank wall at certain harmonics of speed and amplitude, thus more stable, less splashing and less noticeable vibration.
