Description
The New Standard in Precision Tissue Slicing
Advanced Vibratome Technology for Life Science and Biomedical Research
The 9000SMZ vibratome is Campden’s most advanced vibrating microtome designed for precise sectioning of live and fixed brain tissue. Chosen by research laboratories in neuroscience, cardiology, pulmonology, hepatology, organoids and plants around the world.
When your research depends on high-integrity tissue sections, you cannot compromise. Campden Instruments’ 9000SMZ vibrating microtome offers unparalleled control, section quality and tissue viability, making it the ideal vibratome for applications in electrophysiology, imaging, pathology, toxicology and organ research.
But what is a “vibratome”?
A vibratome is a type of microtome used to section biological tissues witha vibrating blade made of stainless steel or ceramic. Unlike rotary microtomes, cryostats, or paraffin-embedded sectioning methods, a vibratome allows the preparation of unfixed or lightly fixed tissue sections without the need for freezing or wax embedding. More information is available in our GUIDE to the vibratome.
